LEGAL SERVICES

Telephone Consultation – I will schedule a telephone consultation to discuss your legal problem or situation, evaluate your position and recommend specific action you can take to address the problem or situation. The fee for a ninety minute telephone consultation is US$350 and is payable in advance when we schedule the appointment. I will call you – anywhere in the world.

Initial Contract Review – Clients frequently need a preliminary contract review. In these situations, I provide a written evaluation in which I point-out areas where the client may be vulnerable and recommend specific revisions that will clarify the rights and obligations of the parties. The fee is based on the nature of the contract plus the time required to review the contract and provide a written evaluation. I offer contract review services on a project-by-project basis or on an hourly basis.

Drafting Documents – I will draft documents (i.e., correspondence, contracts and ancillary documents). I will also revise legal documents to strengthen your position and reduce your exposure.

Troubleshooting – Trouble is my business. Legal problems take all shapes and sizes. Frequently, a seemingly simple legal problem can take on a life of it’s own. When these situations arise, a client needs an unbiased person to listen and be a voice of reason. I will evaluate your situation and provide feedback. If necessary, I will provide a written report.

Litigation and Administrative Proceedings. I’ve represented clients in litigation matters and administrative proceedings for over 24 years. If your case requires a specific type of litigation specialist, I will refer you to a specialist and would be willing to remain on the case as co-counsel, if desired.

SELECT THE PLAN THAT FITS YOUR NEEDS

I am receptive to flexible billing plans that fit the client’s needs. I’m always looking for a few more great new clients. The most common billing plans are described below.

Fixed Fee Per Month (Retainer). This arrangement is suitable when the client wants me “on call” for a set amount of time on a month-to-month basis.

Fixed Fee Per Matter. When it is possible to accurately project the time and effort required, I will quote a fixed fee.

Hourly Fee Per Matter With A Ceiling. When it is not possible to accurately project the time and effort required, I will bill on an hourly basis with a pre-established maximum amount.

Hourly Fee. Some clients prefer to simply pay for each hour (or fraction thereof) of attorney time needed for their legal matter.

HOW DO YOU GET STARTED?

Prospective clients are invited to call or send an email. Explain your situation and the timeframes applicable. I will respond with my assessment on the most appropriate way to resolve your legal problem and how I can be engaged to help you resolve it.
